Director, Founder of GEM Education

Rosa has over 10 years of experience in the field of education in Hong Kong, and is a qualified and registered kindergarten teacher with a PGDE from the University of Hong Kong majoring in Secondary English. She has a diversified cultural background, as she first obtained her undergraduate degree at University of Toronto, then pursued her LLM at Renmin University of China. After realising her passion for working with children, Rosa redirected her education trajectory in Hong Kong and has completed MSocSc in Educational Psychology in Hong Kong.

Her education abroad shed light on the contrasts in education approaches between Hong Kong and the West, which is a driving force behind opening GEM Education – to use a strength-based approach to enhance learning. Rosa believes that  EVERY CHILD IS A GEM, YOU NEVER KNOW HOW BRIGHT HE/SHE CAN SHINE. She set up GEM EDUCATION to provide the opportunity for every single child at her Centre to sparkle, with the help of a little polish.

Rosa是一位经验丰富的教师也曾在国际幼稚园内担任主任一职，在香港拥有超过十多年教育儿童和青少年的经验。 Rosa曾在多伦多大学取得她首个荣誉学士，回港后因追求法律学术而在北京人民大学取得法律硕士学位，但最后她了解自己还是对儿童教学充满热诚。现在她是一名持有香港大学 PGDE的注册导师，以及合资格的幼儿园教师。为了继续丰富她对教育的知识探索，她更完成修读教育心理学硕士课程。由于Rosa自小在外国长大，她留意到香港的教育制度比起外国有很大的差别。例如外国学校先会着重留意及发展学生的长处，但香港的教育制度很多时候着重于小朋友的问题和弱点，因此她起了这个念头开办GEM Education。

Rosa认为每个孩子都是一颗宝石，你永远不知道他们所能够发出的光芒。你只要悉心打磨他们，每颗宝石都可以是非同凡响的。她想透过适当的引导，带出每个孩子原有的色彩闪闪发亮。
